See more than 50 performers in a rousing production that tells the legendary story of the Texas ranchers! This spectacular outdoor musical pagent has been thrilling audiences for more than 60 years!

Palo Duro Canyon, only 30 miles south of Amarillo, is the second largest canyon in the United States, second only to the Grand Canyon.  We will drive through the State Park to view several scenic highlights before the show.

After touring the canyon we return to the site of the show where we will be treated to an interesting backstage tour, receive a souvenir program of the show, and then enjoy a barbeque chuckwagon dinner.  After dniner, sit back and be thrilled with the TEXAS! THE MUSICAL!

But what about .... the WEATHER?

Obviously, Texas is hot in the summer.  There is no escaping it.  But this show has been performed outdoors to packed audiences for almost 60 years!

Expect an average high of 90 degrees during the day.  The canyon is a desert climate so as the sun drops, so does the temperature.  Expect an 8:30pm show time temperature of 72-78 degrees.

June is the rainy month with a 20% chance of rain on average.  The show goes on, rain or not.
